I think those authorization charges happen anytime you register at a service that does monthly billing, but most of the time they never actually show up on statements. im not sure why some credit cards show the authorization and why others do not....

Thanks Helen for your response back. I was hesitate to leave the comment as I know that sometimes people just have a bad day and hiccups occur but at the same time I wanted to inform everyone on what they may experience.

I did find in Vendio's knowledge base that the CC authorization was a pre-authorization charge. I just feel that from a customer service stand point it should be stated before the fact and not be something the customer should have to dig for after the charge occurs.
I would still love to learn more about the program so I may take you up on that email offer.

Thanks again!

@Jeff - You can set up different payment profiles under Items -> Profiles -> Payment -> New. Please email me if you have further questions.

@Ginny - Thank you for your feedback regarding our cc authorization. The charge is a pre-authorization that we use to verify that the credit card is not a fraudulent credit card. The pre-authorization will expire in a few days, and there is no charge to the credit card. Please feel free to email me if you have questions. We're in the beta stage of this launch so I'd like to be able to personally help as many folks climb onboard as possible. (I'm not Michael, but I'm within an Girl Scout cookie's throw of him.)

I wish I could say that I had the same lovely experience. But, as of yet I can't.

I signed up for Vendio 2 dasys ago. Supplied credit card info. (for free store account) and about 20 minutes later received notification of a $12.95 charge.

I called the sales number and received, in my opinion, not the best of customer service. I was told the $12.95 was not an actual charge(?) and was then told it would be credited back, when I asked how long, response was "not sure". I brought up that they should add something in the sign-up process regarding this and was meet with silence.

Second issue: I wanted to ask a few questions to figure out which of their programs would serve me best and was giving the support number and told that they could help me.

Well, it's a good thing I had looked around the knowledge base prior to calling and was aware that the support number charges a monthly fee.

I got off the phone a little less than satisfied and decided I didn't have time to deal with this right now. I called and canceled the service.

I did receive a call later that afternoon from the same person I had originally spoken to wanting to know why I had canceled. He was very nice and offered me his direct line for future questions.

I may give it another try in a few weeks but for now I think I will see how people who aren't dealing with Michael directly fair.

I dove into this today too. You mentioned the payment options- I'm stuck with that. I couldn't find where to configure paypal, the merchant account, whatever is needed to collect a sale. Am I overlooking something purhaps?

At first glance the wysiwyg is daunting. I guess it makes more sense as custom text is added, items added, etc.

I'm impressed yet apprehensive. I want to get over the latter and give Vendio a real chance.
