Jobs: Is Working Online At Home The Next Gold Rush?

I see this headline constantly in Google Ads and Pop-ups so I thought I would take a moment to answer it.

Is Working Online At Home The Next Gold Rush?

Well, if you are asking if it is a lawless wilderness that can make some people wealthy and will prove to be a total waste of time to others, then yes, it totally is. It is also has the same stiff competition where your rivals will stop at nothing to steal what you have while failure to keep up with the pace of business will leave you trampled under foot by the crushing tide. But if you are patient and willing to work hard, you should be able to unearth a few nuggets.

How can we extend this metaphor a little more?
