The new eBay Accounting Assistant is here (in beta)

Just a quick note to update that the new online Accounting Assistant is available now in beta. (Better late than never, eh?) You can start to set it up and play with it at http://pages.ebay.com/accountingassistant

I must say, I am really disappointed. Set-up was simple but, after that, it barely works. I tried to use it tonight and it crashed both Firefox and IE in turn and couldn’t import over half my listings because of errors. I think I will be sticking with the offline version until the online version is a little more stable.

Did you play with it at all? What did you think?

  • I use keepmore.net for all my acounting they are the best.. there is nothing like it out there. and they are so great to work with..They saved me from a huge IRS audit i had. and they also do my taxes.. it is a one stop shop...
  • I know everyone has their favorite paid service but, for me, its just not worth it to pay for a service that Accounting Assistant does for free. While the beta online version is buggy, the old download version still works just fine and imports everything for free in one click.

It's just not worth the extra month for me, though I know some people prefer the paid experience.
  • If you make most of your sales via PayPal, then www.kashflow.co.uk/pp.asp is a good solution.

It's currently the only accounting software that is "PayPal Certified"

Although it does work OK for US businesses, it's perhaps better suited to UK sellers.
