It’s an exciting time in eBay’s history. Not only have eBay and PayPal separated, but eBay is celebrating its 20th anniversary this September. While we normally contact you about ecommerce-related public policy issues, we wanted to let you know about an exciting eBay event coming soon.

Starting September 10th, eBay will be hosting a two-day 20th Anniversary Celebration in San Jose, California. This event is a way to thank our loyal eBay community members who have helped us to become the world’s most vibrant marketplace for discovering great value and unique selection. In addition to celebrating 20 years of connecting buyers and sellers, this is also a great way for sellers to learn how to be even more successful on eBay.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear about new and improved eBay experiences before they’re live
  • Connect with specialists on a wide range of topics, including shipping, returns, merchandising, marketing and much, much more
  • Network with other sellers to discuss best practices
  • Spend time with the eBay leadership team to share experiences and ideas

Space is limited and participation is on a first come, first served basis, so we encourage you to register quickly if you’re interested in attending. The registration fee is $95. We hope you’ll join us!

As soon as I saw notice that this was happening, I knew I wanted to go… but I can’t. It’s just not going to happen. It’s a shame because I’m really interested to see where the company is head and also because I’d love to see so many of my seller friends but it’s just not happening and that’s that.

But as it is a once in a lifetime kind of event, I wanted to make sure you were all aware of it if you wanted the chance to go. And if someone does attend and wants to do a recap of it for the site, I’d greatly appreciate it!

We’ll find out soon enough what their plan is but, in the meantime, what do you think they’ll be announcing at this thing?
