Many of you know John Lawson, better known as Colder ICE or @colderice on Twitter (which my brain always reads as Cold eRice). If not, he’s one of the best examples of eBay success and he’s not only a retail force to be reckoned with, he’s also a dynamic public speaker who knows his stuff. If you ever get the chance to attend one of his talks, it’d be well worth your time. He’s also a really nice guy and a buddy of mine.

John’s got a new book coming out this upcoming March called Kick Ass Social Commerce for E-preneurs: It’s Not About Likes–It’s About Sales and it’s available for pre-order here. You’ll also notice this little gem in the section for Editorial Reviews for the book on Amazon:

“John Lawson isn’t just talking about it…he’s doing it! When the Internet landscape has completely changed and Facebook has gone the way of MySpace, you’ll already be optimizing your presence on The Next Big Thing because of the foundation you got from John’s lessons.”

I mean, seriously, who’s that clown? 😉

I got a chance to read an advanced copy of John’s new book a few months ago and that quote above is a the spliced up blurb-friendly version of the much longer review I did of it. While I’m saving the full review for a little closer to the release date, I can assure you right now that it is a fantastic book and well worth your time.
